“Fuji RUG” Powered by Poyplastics : Fuji City’s First Rugby Event Polyplastics Co., Ltd.

On Saturday, August 23, Polyplastics co-organized “Fuji RUG”, the first-ever rugby experience event in Fuji City, in collaboration with the Fuji City and the Shizuoka BlueRevs, our official partnership rugby team.
This event was organized as part of Fuji City’s initiative for “community development through sports.” It aims fostering sports culture, revitalizing local communities, and contributing to sustainable regional growth. In support of these goals, we participated as a sponsor and actively contributed to the successful execution of the event.
The event, open to Fuji City residents, attracted 44 participants— surpassing the planned limit of 40. Held during the summer vacation period, many parents and children participated creating a lively atmosphere throughout the day. During the event, current players from the Shizuoka BlueRevs served as instructors and led a fun and engaging program, teaching basic rugby skills such as kicking and tackling. Even children who had never touched a rugby ball before were enthusiastically moving their bodies and enjoying the experience.

In the latter half of the event, participants enjoyed a game of “tag rugby,” where players try to remove tags attached to each other’s waists. Both adults and children worked up a sweat while playing tag rugby together, and the venue was filled with smiles.

We will continue to strengthen our ties with the local community and actively engage in social contribution activities that support children’s healthy development and promote sports.
