Polyplastics Malaysian Subsidiary’s Kuantan Plant Earns Silver Status in RBA VAP Audit for Sustainability Polyplastics Co., Ltd.

Polyplastics Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Miyamoto) is pleased to announce that the Kuantan Plant of our Malaysian subsidiary, Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd., has achieved Silver Status in the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Program (VAP) audit. The audit evaluates the plant’s compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct, and the Silver Status recognizes its sustainability efforts.

The RBA is a coalition of companies driving sustainable value for workers, the environment, and business throughout the global supply chain. The RBA Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.

This Silver Status certification recognizes that the Kuantan Plant has effectively managed all categories outlined in the RBA Code of Conduct: Labor, Health and Safety, Environment, Ethics, and Management Systems. Building on this achievement, we will continue to enhance our corporate activities in line with the RBA Code of Conduct, striving to attain even higher levels of certification.
