Beech Forest Creation Project at Mt. Fuji Polyplastics Co., Ltd.

On April 29, Polyplastics participated in “the beech forest creation project at the foot of Mt. Fuji“ sponsored by the Fuji City. Nine employees participated in the planting of beech, zelkova, stewardia, Japanese maple and other native broad-leaved tree saplings.
In addition, in support of the project’s mission to preserve the precious natural environment of Mt. Fuji—a UNESCO World Heritage site—for future generations, and from the standpoint of social contribution, we donated 50 saplings for use in the reforestation effort.
At the opening ceremony, Yoshimasa Mayor of the Fuji city commented, “Broadleaf forests such as beech trees foster rich ecosystems, contribute to the formation of a healthy natural environment, and serve functions such as water source conservation. They also play a role in building a nation more resilient to natural disasters.”

We will continue to contribute to the enrichment of the local communities that form the foundation of our business activities.
